It has been lovely to have such a long break away from work.
During the holidays, I have read You or Someone Like You. This is a seriously good book, and I loved, loved, loved it.
I am listening to "Inside Out Weight Loss" with Renee Stephens (a podcast from ITunes)
And today I took my little girl to the "Wiggles Show". This is her very last day before starting school, and although I went into the cinema thinking "if I have to listen to 'Big Red Car' one more time ...", towards the end of the movie, I had a cuddle with Caitlyn and thought "Wow, this part of my life is really ending tomorrow". I may have misted up.
Yesterday was DS Ian's first day and DD Caitlyn's orientation.
All those cliches, it turns out, are true.
Time passes so quickly, doesn't it??Before you know it, their baby days are over and they are Big. Your two look so happy and pretty fabulous in their uniforms and Sunny looks like a wriggly Labrador pup!!!

I remember that first day... *sob*
Em goes back tomorrow - to Year 12. I'm feeling aged.

There is no doubt Cindy that they are both ready for school - and they both have wonderful teachers which is very reassuring
It is very very hard to take a good photo of the pup right now, its true!

Time does, indeed, pass quickly. I'm sure my DD just started school last year and here she is, married and four weeks from giving birth to her first baby!
Enjoy every moment Nat - it goes far too quickly.

It's a great time though isn't it. They gain independence and you get to love them more with a little break to.
Lovely photos.

That sounds like a wonderful book. Since I have always believed that books (or even *a* book) can change our lives, it sounds like something I could really get my teeth into. Thanks for mentioning it and thanks for the link!

You would really like this book Robbyn. I Was thinking about all the people that would love this book as I was reading it, and all the people who would receive it for their next gift!

So how did school go? As others have said, time passes very quickly. My youngest granddaughter started this week. Her cousin, master 4, has one more year at home. What is even scarier is that oldest grandchild will be in high school next year. He's just turned 11.
Love the photos. Such clean uniforms! All shiny and new.
