A pattern from Melissa Leapman's "Hot knits" - the first of several I want to tackle from this book. I like the wide straps to go over my nursing bras and I made a larger size than normal to fit the nursing bust. It is a good fit around the bust so I am happy. I used (Australian) Heirloom 8 ply 100 percent cotton, about half of the yardage the pattern called for.
boring socks for my never boring DH Tony - cast on 72 sts and just keep on going. I only made these because he was wearing work socks out to dinner one night and I was appalled
DH and I found an injured juvenile native barn owl on the road late one night nad took it to the local vets.
The owl could not be saved, but to say thanks for coming and meeting us and looking at the owl on a Sunday morning, (and then not charging us a fee for putting the poor bird out of its misery) I wanted to make a little something. This is the result was a dc crochet blamkie
