The force

must have been with me. I finally finished something:

And there is a message in that there hat for us all:

May the force enable me to blog onwards and upwards!
I am still woefully behind on reading blogs and listening to podcasts and even reading the magazines that I buy. But there has been other knitting, so stay tuned, gentle reader!

Too long!

It has been too long, suffice to say. Inertia is a terrible thing when it gains momentum.

I have been knitting some, and the onset of cool(er)weather has inspired me further.  More on that anon.

We have been to Brisbane for the wedding of a a dear and very long standing friend of mine. She looked just beautiful!

We were in Brisbane for 10 days or so, and did our best to spread ourselves out between everyone, and still have some things for us.

I have been to Brisbane also for work for a week, and I was able to extend my stay to be with my dear o' Mum for her birthday. It was a hectic but family-filled April!

Last weekend we went camping:

Obviously I appear to have not had enough coffee at this early stage of the morning (note the plunger in front of me!)

We did lots of walking, and the kids swam in the creek. I took along a project that had languished for a long time, the anniversary pullover, as it was a bomb proof colour for camping and I would not have to worry about it getting dirty. I now have 2 fronts up to the armhole shaping!

We are all heading back to Brisbane at the end of May for another wedding - my BIL and soon to be officially my SIL. I am desperately waiting for Rudd to stimulate me so that I can buy plane tickets!

My camera battery is kaput - so I will have to beg off pictures until tomorrow, if that's alright with you!
